What made me decide to take this course? & What are my learning goals this term?
The main reasons why I chose this course came from different aspects. In terms of academic requirements, this course is an elective course that I like very much. Among the many elective course choices, the content of this course is significantly related to my interests. Judging from the teaching mode of this course, the reason why I like this course is straightforward. First, this course’s teaching and feedback method are completed through online interaction, which is very convenient. Other than that, I liked the skills and knowledge that this course passed on to the students. As a non-education-related major student, I hope to expand my abilities by taking this course and applying the knowledge I will learn in my future study career.
Examples of Interactive Media:
These platforms are interactive media because they fit the characteristics: it is a method of communication in which program output depends on user input, and user input affects program output. Simply put, it refers to how people process and share information or communicate with each other. Interactive media enables people to connect with others and organizations actively.
Examples of Multimedia:
There are many reasons why I think interactive media is more of a new attraction. First, interactive media platforms are straightforward, not just what we find on TV or in newspapers. Users can access different content worldwide without leaving home or worrying about different languages. Second, it allows viewers to think critically and debate topics while reading text-based arguments and multimedia presentations found online rather than passively watching television as most people do, which may be one of the advantages of interactive media.

After reading Jiahao’s post 1, I agree that in interactive media users can access different content globally without leaving home or worrying about different languages. It can help us to bring the distance between different country regions. It allows us to have an easier way of understanding each other. It gives us the possibility of different results in some ideas and is more conducive to seeing the same issues from a different perspective. So I think interactive media is more conducive to bringing people closer even if you are from different cities or countries.

Hi there
I think you’re right that interactive media is different from multimedia like TV and newspapers that only allow users to receive information. Much of its information comes from user input, and we can get a wide range of people’s thoughts and opinions through interactive media. But at the same time, I wonder if the increase in the number of people using interactive media will also increase the amount of useless information on interactive media. Because unlike television and newspapers, which present perfectly edited information to the viewer, interactive media presents almost all the legitimate statements of the users.
